INXS guitarist joins Grant Broadcasters

In a first for Australian radio, INXS guitarist Tim Farriss has signed with Grant Broadcasters to present a series of shows from January 1, 2009.

The first project includes "25 Years in 25 Days", a musical retrospective of the hitmakers and headlines of the past 25 Years.

Today the most wonderful and beautiful man in the history of rock n roll celebrates his birthday, and as a part of an annual tradition, I am posting this everywhere to assure he will be blessed for the year! hehe!

I want to say thank you to Tim for being the sweet and kind man he is, and granting his time to me that one cold, dark night in Seattle when I was alone and unsure of walking down a dark alley. His smile was like a light in that tunnel. I momentarily forgot I was alone in a big, unfamiliar city.

I also want to thank him for the music. I know he doesn't want to be considered the best guitarist, but to me he always will be. Not only do I enjoy his remarkable talent, but I also enjoy his facial expressions as he is having fun on the stage. I love him for that too!!

My sis Anna and I rented a car for this trip. It was a cute little Kia. We headed for Reno, but we went the long way around. We went through Idaho. It was easier for us to do that because we thought there was no snowy passes to go through. Anyway, they weren't on the map. But boy were we wrong! After Coeur D' Alene there was nothing but passes that were covered in snow and not pictured anywhere on the map. But it was fun going through them. We had the video camera with us and so we managed to get some nice shots anyway. At one point we found ourselves on top of this hill, looking down at the city lights. It was a spectacular sight! The lights made the city below us look like a diamond necklace!

I can't remember when my fantasy love affair started with Tim maybe he was just one of many who had to compete with the torrid affair I was having with Bruce Cockburn. But being the kind of person who believes you can be in love with many people at the same time Tim just became part of the harem, somewhere after Michael Hutchence but before Joe Strummer. And then Rockstar:INXS became part of my weekly television ritual and my love for him rekindled. And now it has grown into a full fledged fireworks factory explosion. (like the alliteration?)
